Etienne De Crecy is one of the founding fathers of the French Touch, as a member of Motorbass he was one of the first in France to produce house music, and is one of the originators of the French house movement, which spawned Daft Punk, Stardust and
Cassius among others. In 2008 after touring the world for three years with his French comrades in arms, Alex Gopher and Julien Delfaud, as the live project Super Discount 2, Etienne De Crecy unveiled a live solo project in which he used only vintage hardware.
Without a laptop in site, Etienne and a 6m x 6m video projection cube took the world by storm. His performance at Coachella in 2009 was one of the festival’s stand out highlights. Disco, house, electro alldispensed with that magical ‘French Touch’, surely a night that has a certain je ne sais quoi!
